Holidaying With Your Hound

What better way to experience a great British stay than with your furry friend firmly by your side. At Honeycomb Houses we have a wonderful array of dog friendly hotels and pubs to choose from. From Chihuahuas to Great Danes, we welcome all pooches, great and small, through our doors. Why are our dog friendly pubs and hotels so popular with the puppers? Our secret weapon – Denzel’s Dog Treats.

Let’s face it, there are lots of dog treats on the market currently. Many of which contain a plethora of unrecognisable ingredients namely additives, chemicals and preservatives – which don’t sound particularly dog friendly. Our philosophy is: if we wouldn’t eat it, why would we give it to our dogs. But Denzel’s dog snacks ticks all the boxes.

Dogs simply can’t get enough of Denzel’s delicious treats and it’s not hard to see why. Their pawfect provisions are handmade from 100% natural ingredients, such as fresh fruit, healthy fats, antioxidants and fibre. These healthy low calorie chews have no added salt, grains, sugars or nasties. Making them perfect for pooches with sensitive tummies. All of Denzel’s snacks are hypoallergenic and are free from grain, gluten and wheat. Chickpea flour is used in place of wheat, grain or rice as it is rich in protein and fibre, and super easy for dogs to digest. Denzel’s dog snacks are suitable for dogs of all shapes and sizes, over 16 weeks.

Denzel’s healthy dog chews are gently hand-baked in the UK using ingredients sourced from local suppliers to ensure the freshest snacks possible. Typically when chews are made they need to be extruded which requires salts, sugars and additives to help them cook and keep them preserved. But Denzel’s bake their delectable doggy delights on-site in sustainable wood-chip ovens, their unique baking process means that nothing artificial needs to be added.

Denzel’s haven’t just developed delicious dog chews, they’ve also formulated 100% plastic-free and biodegradable packaging. All of their healthy treats come in plastic-free packs that will naturally break down in just 30 weeks, unlike single-use plastics which can take 300 years. Healthy treats for a healthy planet.

We’re so passionate about Denzel’s Dog Treats that we stock them in jars behind the bar for free, eagerly awaiting an opportunity to dish them out to our doggy guests. Hoomans may also purchase a pack of treats on behalf of their four-legged friends. We stock 3 drool inducing flavours: Brunch, Nut Butter and Superfood.

The Brunch soft-baked dog chew is packed with healthy fats to keep your pup full until dinner time. This perfect mid-morning snack contains avocado, eggs, salmon and honey. Honey works wonders for dogs with sensitive stomachs, especially when it’s locally sourced – yum!

Nut Butter is an excellent source of protein and fibre. It contains a scrumptious blend of peanuts, cashews and coconut oil. Nuts are a fantastic source of healthy oils and fats that help fight against cholesterol.

The Superfood chew is packed with vitamins, minerals and fibre. Fresh bananas, berries and apples are used to keep your dog fit and healthy. Blueberries are really high in antioxidants, which are vital for a dog’s wellbeing – and a wet nose.

Denzel’s healthy dog snacks have unsurprisingly been well received throughout all of our venues. Why not pawchase a pack for your pup? Whether you’re exploring the countryside with your canine, or catching up with friends – pay one of our dog friendly pubs a visit. Your dog will thank you for it.
